Firm in Faith, Bold in Defending The Truth

Peter and John answered them, “You yourselves judge which is right in God's sight—to obey you or to obey God." Acts 4:19

The Apostle, Peter and John in an encounter with a man at the gate called 'Beautiful', offered him no silver or gold, but healing. They healed the man who could not walk for many years, and their reward from the Sadducees was a threat to stop teaching and healing people in the name of Jesus Christ.

You might be faced with threats for being someone who speaks the truth at all times in all circumstances. This might not favour some people, either family or friends, colleagues or superiors, who threaten not to take care of you again. You might face such threats as your school fees not being paid, threats of getting laid off from work or being demoted. They will do all these because they want you to lie, like what the Sadducees tried with Peter and John.

I would entreat you to stay firm and be bold to 'call the spade a spade', no matter the threats that come. Your service must first be to God before men. And when you are faced with such things at the workplace, do remember what Apostle Paul said in Col. 3:23,

"...and whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men."

When your focus is God, it does not matter the opposition, you'll surely succeed. It is my prayer that, God will grant you the courage and boldness that was evident in Jesus Christ and the Apostles, so that you can also boldly stand firm for the Truth and not a lie.

May all who have encountered Christ be Bold and courageous and may God, through the Holy Spirit establish your foundation in Him, so that you can withstand the pressure from family, friends or colleagues at work to speak a lie instead of the truth. And may you be unshakable even in the presence of fierce opposition, because you stand for the TRUTH.

And just like Apostle Peter, may you tell those who threaten you, "I cannot stop being honest or stop speaking the truth.”

You see, the enemy fears you. Yes! He fears you when he realizes how deep you have gone in your fellowship with God. One thing which he can try is threats. To threaten your life. But I want to remind you that,

"...the Righteous are as bold as a lion" Proverbs 28:1

Fear not! That is what God has been saying to you all year long. That do not be afraid. That includes situations where the enemy is threatening you, through your family, friends, colleagues or boss because you stand with the TRUTH.

I hope you will make this year remarkable in your life, by getting close to God. Get personal with Him. Your fellowship with Him must be deeper. All your resolutions will result from your relationship with him.

God is not Dead! He's Alive! And Jesus is coming back again!
